Privacy Policy
Ref Point is run by the Ref Point team. This page says what we store about you, who else touches it, and how to get it removed. Anything unclear goes to alan.chris.beltran@gmail.com.
What we store
Your account. Your email, the name you give us, and the sessions that keep you signed in. A password you set is held by Clerk, our sign-in provider, not as plain text on this site. Signing in with Google or GitHub gives us the email, name, and profile picture those accounts send, and nothing else.
What you save. Bookmarks, follows, and page subscriptions on your account.
What you publish. Hub pages and cards, including the URL, title, and description, plus stills and loops you upload. The Ask bar stores the working session for that page so you can come back to it.
Why we store it
To run your account and keep you signed in. To show you what you saved. To publish the library pages you choose to make public. To keep a draft private until you publish it. To show card images. To meet legal obligations if one applies.
Who processes it
Vercel, hosting and the servers that render these pages.
Supabase, the Postgres database for accounts, pages, cards, bookmarks, follows, subscriptions, and Ask sessions.
Bunny, storage and delivery for card stills and loops.
Clerk, sign-in, sessions, and account deletion.
Google, only if you sign in with a Google account.
GitHub, only if you sign in with a GitHub account.
Each of them gets the minimum the job needs. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We keep no advertising profiles and run no ad networks. Card payments never reach this site, because the site does not sell anything.
Cookies and local storage
A session cookie keeps you signed in. A few interface choices, including whether button sounds are on and the width of the Ask history pane, live in your browser’s local storage and stay on that device. Fonts are served from this domain, so no font network sees your visit.
How long we keep it
Account data stays while the account exists. Delete the account from Settings and we remove your account and the pages you own. Cards other people already placed on their own pages stay there. A published page stays in the library until you unpublish it or the account is deleted.
Your rights
Ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to a particular use. Write to alan.chris.beltran@gmail.com and we answer inside a month.
Children
Ref Point is not built for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly keep their data. Tell us if a child has signed up and the account goes.
Changes
This page changes when the site does. The date at the top says when it last moved.
